Biography

Dr Michal Otreba is a Civil Engineer with over 18 years of experience. Currently a Lecturer at Munster Technological University (former Cork Institute of Technology), Researcher and MSc and Postgraduate Diploma courses coordinator where teaching activities are in the area of Digitisation and BIM in AEC sector.

 He is a former BIM Coordinator with RPS Consulting Engineers responsible for BIM and other Digital Technologies training and implementation. 

His interest and experience are in IT in Architecture Engineering and Construction, Building Information Modelling, Intelligent and Sustainable façade systems. Michal also specialises in and has extensive knowledge in existing commercial and prototypical state of the art facades. Additionally, he is proficient in Energy and HVAC systems modelling and Multi-physics CFD stimulation.
